Seatex welcomes ChemQuest to our family! Read more about the acquisition and our expanded operations.
In order to give our customers the highest level of confidence possible in the final products we manufacture, Seatex utilizes advanced methodologies and state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to determine or confirm:
and more.
Our degreed chemists have helped Seatex develop a proven track record of expertise in analytical chemistry over the last 50 years. By adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 9001 standards, and other QA/QC guidelines, we see to it that your products are made exactly to your specifications.
As a “one-stop shop” for all things chemical manufacturing, we offer Quality Testing services to ensure that not only can we make a formulation, we can do it right. We’re able to take your project, scale it up, perform blending, milling, or reaction work, and finally, use our cutting-edge instruments and equipment to confirm the end result.
In other words, there’s no reason to take your chemical manufacturing projects anywhere else.
These are just a few of the tests we routinely perform for our customers:
High performance and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC/UHPLC)
A type of liquid mobile phase chromatography utilized for the separation and quantification of several various components in mixtures of solutions.
Gas chromatography (GC)
A type of chromatography using high temperatures and a gas mobile phase for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition, of a particular substance, or separating the different components of a mixture.
Inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES)
A type of ionization spectroscopy utilized for determining elemental analysis, particularly metals in solutions with various matrices.
Fourier transform infrared (FTIR)
A technique utilizing a wide infrared spectral range for uncovering a fingerprint of an unknown chemical and/or mixture using the absorption or emission of a substance while simultaneously scanning and collecting the spectral data.
Particle size analysis and distribution (higher degree of technology)
Analysis with instrumentation utilizing laser diffraction which measures particle size distributions via the reception and variations in the intensity of light scattered as a laser beam passes through a dispersed particulate sample.
Particle size analysis and distribution (rudimentary)
Other methods of separation include vacuum filtration, and mechanical sieve methods of sizing and distribution techniques.
Pilot reactor
12 liter, glass, double walled for heating and cooling solutions, Teflon overhead vortex, reactionary vessel with positive or negative pressure, and condenser capabilities utilized for research and product development purposes. Types of reaction capabilities are virtually unlimited.
Routine QA/QC testing capabilities
pH, viscosity, specific gravity or density, color, opacity, refractive index, water content, bio determination, conductivity, TDS, centrifugation, separation techniques, thin layer chromatography, titrations, and other wet chemistry determinations for quantification or qualification.
Proprietary analytical testing capabilities
This category includes test developmental work incorporating in-house derived analysis not standard to generic methods and requires alternative assessments for the analysis or efficacy determination of a product or solution.
Analytical capabilities in the near future
Ion chromatography, GC and HPLC mass spectroscopy, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy (GFAAS).
