We meet these commitments by implementing a comprehensive environmental, health and safety management system and continually improving both the system and our performance. The Health and Safety of People is our greatest responsibility.

The objective of our EH&S Program is to provide an appropriate level of direction to help us live our Core Values, fulfill our mission, and ensure that everyone knows what is expected of them, thus providing a sustainable safety culture.

A Culture of Safety

All employees of Seatex, our clients, subcontractors or visitors at Seatex work facilities have the responsibility, authority, and obligation to interrupt or shut down any unsafe act, condition or operation (commonly referred to as Stop Work Authority) with no fear of reprimand, reprisal, or negative repercussions. Any concerns will be addressed prior to resuming operations.
We meet or exceed all federal requirements and OSHA guidelines for best practices of chemical use.
Our NSF and UL certifications demonstrate that our products meet strict standards for public health protection and hold up to regular re-testing and on-site inspections.

Our fully staffed EHS Department continually strives to improve our sites' safety culture by utilizing an innovative and common-sense approach. We are building a sustainable Safety Culture through trust, honesty and owning our own Safety.
At Seatex we believe in a grassroots approach by introducing programs and building trust that are accepted and sustained at the corporate and operator levels. This trust and our sustained programs guide and carry the safety culture for Seatex.
As an experienced manufacturer of sanitizers, hand soaps, and cleaning chemicals, we have the unique ability to use our own sanitation products to keep our employees and customers safe, knowing they are tested and proven effective.

Our Safety Highlights

Excellent Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), with our Safety Management System (SMS) we are able to review lagging and leading indicators to identify high-risk tasks and focus our efforts to lower those risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP)

Our commitment to the safety of our employees starts at the top with our Operational Safety Program. Led by our Director of EHS&S, this program provides a monthly platform for all operational leaders to review near misses or incidents and identify corrective actions. Safety training on specific programs tops off the meeting.

Our Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) monitors all potential medium and high risk exposures to chemicals, assists our employees with JSA’s, MOC’s, and SOP’s
